Be part of our amazing community. Build is a 15,000 sqft maker facility for your ideas to take root. Ideation. Prototyping. Validation. Commercialization. Learn.

The role of the American barn should be remembered accurately; It was the birthplace of invention and a common ground for individuals to work, teach, solve problems, and learn together. Entire economic ecosystems were born from atop its' hay, and the rebirth of America lay within its' doors. Build is a reinvention of the American barn. A community makerspace where, for a low monthly membership fee, you will have access to a plethora of tools, equipment, knowledge & resources, and a community of creative individuals like yourself. Build. Connect. Come spark innovation.

🎉 BIG NEWS!

We’re excited to share that Build Forward Foundation and Build, RVA has received a $10,000 grant from altriagroupinc!

Through Altria’s employee-driven Give Together program, Altria employees have a voice in supporting nonprofits doing meaningful work in the communities where they live and work. We’re incredibly grateful to be recognized and supported by their employees.

This grant will help us continue creating opportunities for Richmond’s next generation of builders, creators, and entrepreneurs by providing access to the tools, equipment, and hands-on experiences that help turn ideas into reality.

A huge thank you to Altria and its employees for believing in what we’re building and investing in the future of Richmond. We’re excited for what’s ahead! 🙌
