This is the last week to see Manufactured Faces, Performative Spaces at The Iridian Gallery at Diversity Richmond. Make sure to see the work from this talented group of artists one last time, or for the first time! This show, curated by Michael-Birch Pierce, features the work of Richmond artists, Thomas J. Condon, Jonathan Lee, Michael A. Pierce and Leigh Suggs. Also featured are Honor Bowman, Sam Bryer, Carlton Morgan, Ben Tollefson, and Scott Welsh.

The closing reception will be brunch style! Stop by during your Saturday morning errands and get a mimosa and some donuts while you look at art and talk to the artists. Sam Bryer will be on hand to facilitate audience participation with her installation "DIY Masterpiece: Ana/Tom 2.0."

Please use the Diversity Thrift main entrance and walk straight back to the gallery entrance (by the shoe department.) The Sherwood entrance will be locked.

Be A Good Neighbor - Check On The Elderly
Sometimes something as simple as a phone call or knocking on the door of an elderly neighbor or relative in the cold and snow can literally save a life. It only takes a moment to check in and make sure that your elderly neighbors or relatives are doing alright. Don’t be bashful, check in on them and say “hi”, they will love the company and while you’re there ask them if they have enough to eat, or better yet bring over a plate from home for them. Make sure they have enough heat as well, because some do not have enough of either food or heat due to fixed incomes. If you feel that an elderly neighbor may be in danger if they remain alone, senior citizens with issues relating to the cold weather can call the Richmond Adult Protective Unit, (804) 646-7367.
