📣 Have a community program serving Richmond’s East End but don’t have your 501(c)(3) status yet?

Village Against Violence is accepting inquiries from groups seeking fiscal sponsorship for the 2027 VCU Health Hub Community Partner Initiative, which offers $5,000 awards for health and well-being programming.

We’re interested in connecting with groups whose work aligns with our mission of supporting youth, families, violence prevention, and community well-being.

Fiscal sponsorship can provide financial management and oversight to help eligible groups access funding. All requests require review and a written agreement. Administrative fees and responsibilities will be discussed before any commitment, subject to funding requirements.

💜 Village, can we come together for a little one?

A Richmond first-grade teacher reached out to Village Against Violence for help supporting a six-year-old boy who loves coming to school. He needs clothing, socks, and properly fitting shoes so he can feel comfortable and ready to learn.

We have some items available, but our supply in his sizes is limited. I’m also about to go grab him some things myself, and I’d love for the village to join me! 💜

Here’s what he needs:

👕 Shirts: Small, size 6/7
👖 Pants: Size 6
👟 Shoes: Children’s size 12
🧦 Socks to fit his shoe size

If you can donate new or clean, gently used clothing and shoes, or new socks, please message us to coordinate.

Every little bit helps us show up for this child. Please share! 🤝🏽💜

The mother of 6 children we've been trying to help has a COURT HEARING SCHEDULED FOR TOMORROW, OCTOBER 27TH, and we're still trying to raise the money needed to help her avoid eviction. 😢🏠

Village Against Violence is collecting new, unwrapped toys and gifts November 1 through December 18, 2026, to help bring Christmas joy to children and teens in need. ❤️

While you’re holiday shopping, please consider picking up an extra gift! We welcome toys, dolls, games, puzzles, arts and crafts, sports equipment, and gift cards for teens. Please don’t forget our older kids! 🛍️

Businesses, churches, schools, and community groups, we would love for you to join us. Whether you give one gift or organize a collection, your support matters!

🎃 HULLOWEEN on HULL UPDATE! 🎃

There are so many amazing Halloween events happening around our community, from costume parties to trunk or treats! We want families to enjoy those celebrations while we focus on preparing and connecting with partners for Thanksgiving and Christmas to support families and children in need. ❤️

We’re still sharing some Halloween love!

Stop by Village Against Violence on October 31, from 12 to 3 PM at 1208 Hull Street for Halloween 🎃 treats and over 200 Texas Roadhouse kids meal vouchers through our partnership with Texas Roadhouse, while supplies last!

Each kids meal voucher requires the purchase of an adult entrée.
