Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.

Y'all... 😂😂😂

I didn't tell the kids the police officer was coming today.

Mind you, they've all become besties over the last two weeks, running, laughing, talking non stop. 😩🩷💪🏽🙄

The officer pulled up while they were upstairs watching a movie and eating lunch.

I walked upstairs, looked around, and said...

I called the police on y'all.

😳😳😳😳😳 BABYYYYYYY...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I finally started laughing and told them the officer was there to visit and talk to them.

For about 30 seconds, every child was trying to figure out what crime they committed at summer camp.

Best behavior for the rest of the day.

10/10. Would recommend. 🤣🤣🤣💙Week2

Please keep our transportation driver Shae and the entire Johnson family in your prayers. Yesterday, she experienced the heartbreaking loss of her nephew, King😔

There are no words that can truly ease a pain like this. As a village, we ask that you lift this family up in prayer for strength, comfort, peace, and healing during this unimaginable time. Please keep King's parents, siblings, relatives, and loved ones close to your hearts as they navigate the difficult days ahead.

Father God, we ask that You wrap the Johnson family in Your loving arms. Give them strength when they feel weak, comfort when the grief feels overwhelming, and peace that surpasses all understanding. May they find hope and healing in the midst of this tragedy.

On Hull Street, I see it all. I see the homeless. I see those battling addiction. I see people struggling with alcoholism. Most people drive by, but we stop, we speak, we care.

Today, we received another supply of Narcan for our community distribution efforts. This isn't about judging anyone. It's about saving lives, supporting people where they are, and making sure families have one more chance to see their loved ones come home.

Addiction does not discriminate. Neither should compassion. The Village Against Violence Foundation is on a mission to save 500!!!

At Village Against Violence, we will continue doing our part by providing resources, education, harm reduction supplies, and hope. Every life matters, and every life is worth fighting for.

😩 😩 Y'all, tell me why someone came and took ALL the stuff.

Not just a few things. Everything. Even took my tote. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I try my best to help people because that's just who I am. If I have it and someone needs it, I usually share it. But situations like this make it hard because a few people can ruin it for everyone else.

So unfortunately, that's it for the free outside giveaways. Going forward, any free items, supplies, food, clothing, or resources will only be distributed at organized events where we can make sure they get into the hands of the people they're intended for.

I'm disappointed, but I'm not defeated. We'll keep serving the community, just with a little more structure.

Some people see kindness as an opportunity. I see it as a blessing. There's a difference.

Yes, the students get "paid." 😂
Yes, they pay booth rent.
Yes, we use fake money to simulate real life experiences.

Why? Because I want them to understand how money works before they become adults.

They learn how to earn money, budget money, save money, spend money wisely, and invest in themselves. They learn that every service has value and every business has expenses.

One minute they're braiding hair, the next they're calculating profits, paying booth rent, purchasing supplies, and figuring out how to grow their business.

We're not just creating future braiders, barbers, makeup artists, and entrepreneurs. We're creating young people who understand how to make money, manage money, and build something of their own.

The hairstyles are great, but the life skills are priceless. ❤️
