Recently Altria in conjunction with the Community Fdn for a greater Richmond donated a bounty of supplies including linen kits with towels, sheets and pillows, and housewares. Altria employees also sent notes of encouragement for our Veterans, to acknowledge them and uplift their spirits.

LVS appreciates the kindness and generosity of our community- your support enables us to offer homeless Veterans the care, resources, and stability needed to rebuild their lives.

In honor of Military Appreciation Month, Emerald Construction provided a Chipotle lunch with all the fixings for the LVS residents and staff today. A very kind, generous, and delicious gesture!

One Veteran proclaimed, "It's Chipotle; I'm in charge of my portion control. It's the greatest day of my life!!" 💙

Cool family-friendly event that will benefit homeless Veterans. Thank you Zion Cruise - In!

Only 2 WEEKS until Zion’s 8th annual Car Show in downtown Beaverdam! Sat May 30. If you have a really cool vintage or late model car or truck, we would love to have you come out and participate in our show! If you don’t have a show vehicle, it’s free to attend and check out the cool vehicles.  Our Church men’s group will be serving our famous pork BBQ for lunch and our women’s group will have delicious baked goods for sale.

Feel Good Friday: A Heart for Helping💙

LVS resident and U.S. Army Veteran Mr. Phelps has a strong heart for helping others.

In March 2026 Mr. Phelps joined the Food Pantry Team, where he has become a dedicated and valued .

Mr. Phelps assists with organizing items, lifting and transporting boxes, and ensuring the pantry operates smoothly. He finds great joy in assisting individuals as they select their food, offering not only but also words of that uplift and inspire.

Mr. Phelps is a man who has found renewed purpose in life, using his strength, , and commitment to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

What a day! The 2026 Bluegrass Jam on Saturday was amazing- talented musicians, cool weather (and no rain!), and fun-loving people. Thank you for your support of Military and . We are honored to be a beneficiary of this event.
