What an incredible Children’s Weekend at Greater Joy Community Church! 💚💛

We kicked things off on Saturday with Camp Joy, where our children enjoyed a day filled with fun, fellowship, laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories. It was a blessing to see so many young people growing together in faith and community.

Today, we closed out the weekend with an amazing worship experience as Pastor Shamara B. Haynes preached a powerful message from 1 Samuel 3 entitled “Called in Community.” We were reminded that God still calls His people, and often He speaks and shapes us through the community He has placed around us.

Thank you to every volunteer, parent, leader, and supporter who helped make this weekend such a success. Most importantly, thank you to our incredible children and youth for bringing so much joy and energy to our church family.

We are excited about what God is doing in the lives of the next generation at Greater Joy Community Church!

☀️🏕️ CAMP JOY 2026 RECAP🏕️☀️

What an incredible day at Camp Joy 2026! 💚

Our youth spent the day learning, laughing, creating memories, and growing together through fun-filled activities designed to strengthen faith, friendship, and teamwork.

✨ We made friendship bracelets and crafts.
✨ We conquered obstacle course challenges.
✨ We enjoyed games, scavenger hunts, and team competitions.
✨ We sang, danced, and celebrated together.
✨ We gathered around the camp circle for s'mores and fellowship.
✨ We shared a delicious lunch and plenty of smiles.
✨ We learned that God has a purpose and plan for each of our lives.

The energy, excitement, and joy that filled our church grounds were truly unforgettable. Seeing our young people step out of their comfort zones, encourage one another, and shine so brightly reminded us why youth ministry matters.

A special thank you to our Pastor, volunteers, counselors, ministry leaders, parents, and supporters who helped make Camp Joy possible. Your dedication, generosity, and servant hearts created a day our youth will remember for years to come.

As we reflect on this amazing experience, we're reminded of our Camp Joy theme:

We believe God is doing something special through our youth ministry, and this is only the beginning!

What an incredible weekend it has been! Yesterday, our young people came together for Camp Joy: Stronger Together—a day filled with laughter, friendship, teamwork, creativity, and faith.

Now it's time to celebrate all that God has done!

Join us this Sunday as our youth help lead worship and share the joy, lessons, and memories from Camp Joy. We are excited to recognize their participation and hear how they grew stronger together.
