Our Center Working to establish and maintain a safe, empowering, and supportive Center that addresses advocacy, education and services for the LGBTQ+ community.

It started as a dream in 2009, when the need for a safe, empowering and supportive LGBTQ+ community center was identified, and an action plan to create one was formed by a small group of individuals in northern Nevada. Since then, countless volunteer hours and monetary donations have been donated by a multitude of extraordinarily generous individuals and businesses, now bringing this dream to fruition in April 2016. Our mission is to maintain a safe, empowering, and supportive center for the LGBTQ+ community and allies that addresses advocacy, education, and services. We seek to build, connect, and strengthen the LGBTQ+ community through community building, arts and culture programming, and inclusive activities. Our Center is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit that relies solely on the support of private donations and the generosity of individuals, businesses and foundations.

EY FRIENDS! EXCITING THINGS ARE COMING TO OUR CENTER!

We've got some fantastic programs coming up in the next few weeks specifically for middle school and high school-aged youth, and we can't wait to share them with you!

At Our Center, we believe everyone deserves a place where they can show up as their authentic selves, find their people, and feel a genuine sense of belonging.

Our goal is to create a welcoming third space for young people—a place outside of home and school where they can connect with peers, explore their interests, express themselves freely, and build meaningful friendships.

Whether you're looking to make new friends, try something new, get creative, or simply hang out with people who get you, there's a place for you here!

Do you love bringing people together? Have a passion for the outdoors, crafting, or cozy q***r shenanigans? We might have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!

Our Center is looking for Volunteer Program Leads for two of our phenomenal monthly programs. Program Leads help organize and facilitate meetups, welcome participants, and—most importantly—help create spaces where LGBTQ+ folks can connect, make friends, and build community.

RAINBOW RANGERS

Love hiking in the great outdoors? FABULOUS.

Rainbow Rangers brings LGBTQ+ community members together for monthly hikes, fresh air, beautiful scenery, and wonderful company. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting outside and would love to help organize and lead the group's monthly adventures.

No wilderness-survival skills required.

Q***R COZY CRAFT CLUB

Crafting? Cozy vibes? A classic Studio Ghibli movie playing in the background? SAY LESS.

Q***r Cozy Craft Club meets on the second Friday of every month for an evening of crafting, movies, conversation, and community. We're looking for someone who can help organize the monthly gathering and create a welcoming space for crafters of all kinds.

You don't need to be an expert hiker or master crafter to become a Program Lead. We're looking for friendly, reliable folks who enjoy connecting with others and want to help create more opportunities for our community to find one another.
