Our Center Working to establish and maintain a safe, empowering, and supportive Center that addresses advocacy, education and services for the LGBTQ+ community.

It started as a dream in 2009, when the need for a safe, empowering and supportive LGBTQ+ community center was identified, and an action plan to create one was formed by a small group of individuals in northern Nevada. Since then, countless volunteer hours and monetary donations have been donated by a multitude of extraordinarily generous individuals and businesses, now bringing this dream to frui

tion in April 2016. Our mission is to maintain a safe, empowering, and supportive center for the LGBTQ+ community and allies that addresses advocacy, education, and services. We seek to build, connect, and strengthen the LGBTQ+ community through community building, arts and culture programming, and inclusive activities. Our Center is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit that relies solely on the support of private donations and the generosity of individuals, businesses and foundations.

Our Center staffer Christopher Daniels sits down to chat with Madi Barrett, the instructor for Little Rainbows music play. Little Rainbows is a new program for littles and their caregivers focusing on music play.

This is a new program happening at Our Center, every Monday (including today) for the next five weeks. Classes are $10 (scholarships are available). The class runs from 12pm - 12:45pm.

Morning Crew: Organizing and hanging banners, signage, and artwork. Helping make the festival grounds and parade route look fabulous.

Afternoon Crew: Maintaining banners and signage. Promoting the event via official social media. Taking photos and video to document the event. Celebrating PRIDE with spreading love, high fives, and hundreds of rainbow flags.

Closing Crew: Taking down and organizing banners, signage, and artwork. General awesomeness. Rules: Be awesome, don’t cut your hand, smile.

Hi Friends! Come volunteer with us as a Parade Volunteer or help with parade cleanup!

In the Parade Volunteer role, you could help to direct participants and attendees at the staging area and/or along the parade route. Responsibilities may include setup, assisting and directing participants, and miscellaneous responsibilities.

In the Parade Cleanup role, you will be following the end of the parade and cleaning up the parade route and attendee viewing areas.

Responsibilities may include festival setup, working entrances and exits, assisting and directing attendees, conducting monetary transactions, festival breakdown, and miscellaneous responsibilities.
