We're praying for the safety of our friends, neighbors, and all of the crews who are working to contain the Hawk Fire.

Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo has declared a state of emergency in Washoe County, and has mobilized the Nevada National Guard to support aerial firefighting with two helicopter crews as well as 60 troops to help police safeguard evacuated neighborhoods.

At this time, more than 10,000 homes are in the evacuation zone. If you have been told to evacuate, please do not wait.

Please help us check in on family and loved ones in our community, and please stay tuned for ways to help as the needs become more clear.

Margot wanted to tell her story, and we're honored to share it here!
I am especially looking forward to the Milk & Honey Festival here in Reno because it brings together so many elements that are so meaningful to me. Having been raised with a Jewish background in England, these kinds of cultural and community events resonate on a deeper level – they are both familiar and grounding, even after years of living overseas.

Over the years, I spent several months in Israel and very much enjoyed working and living on a Kibbutz and traveling throughout the country. These experiences left a lasting impression on me. Israel’s energy, resilience, and sense of community are unlike anywhere else I have been. The connection I feel to the country, its people, and its traditions has stayed with me ever since.

What makes me really want to be a part of the Milk & Honey Festival the most is the atmosphere – there is a unique combination of warmth, positivity, and celebration that defines Jewish cultural events. From the food to the music to the dancing, there is an unmistakable vibrancy that brings people together in a joyful and welcoming way. It’s not just about attending an event, but about reconnecting with a culture and spirit that I genuinely love.

Being part of the Milk & Honey Festival feels like an opportunity to celebrate that connection, share in the community, and relive some of the experiences and traditions that have meant so much to me over the years.

This year marks the 5th Anniversary of Milk & Honey: A Jewish Cultural Festival, and we're celebrating in a big way.

🎶 Country music star Joe Buchanan is coming to Reno.

Known for blending heartfelt country music with Jewish storytelling and identity, Joe brings a sound and perspective unlike anyone else on stage today.

Join us for an afternoon of live music, delicious food, community, culture, and family fun as we celebrate five years of bringing Northern Nevada together.

Whether you've been with us since year one or are discovering Milk & Honey for the first time, this is the festival's biggest celebration yet.
