The Dad Shortage
The headlines bare witness to the issue. 71% of incarcerated men are from fatherless homes. 65% of all incarcerated women are from fatherless homes. 80% of teens incarcerated are from fatherless homes. 74% of teen suicides are from fatherless homes. 90% homeless youth are from fatherless homes. 67% of pregnant teens are from fatherless homes. 41% of kids not having a father in the home will be poorer than their biological father. 24 million American children will go to bed tonight without their biological father; globally the numbers are calculated at 240 million. We at Dad-E Academy are here to address this worldwide epidemic of fatherlessness. We are here to serve and assist dads of all age, race, religion, and sociological background. It is our mandate that every child deserves a great father. Actress Halle Berry is quoted as saying, “I know that I will never find my father in any other man who comes into my life, because it is a void in my life that can only be filled by him.” Or the late Tupac Shakur, “I was looking for a father, he was gone. I hung around with the thugs, and even though they sold drugs, they showed a young brother love.” Our purpose is to simply come along side and assist men. We are not here to judge, only to help. There is more than enough man bashing going on these days. You won’t get that here. Brother’s we are here for you. We know you want to be there for them. We got you.
