Laika Press is doing our Fall Fund Drive RIGHT NOW and we want YOU 🫵 to have a chance to win some goodies! Laika is all about community, so it’s only fitting that we find a way to put the FUN in fundraising by offering stickers, print supplies, art, and more as we make our way through our goals.

You can help us unlock these faster in a few ways! You can donate to support our cause (link in bio!) of course, but you can also share these posts to your story and with folks who might want to know where to direct their support! Grassroots efforts like ours rely on word of mouth and people sharing causes they care about and believe in. Likes, comments, and shares here and off of social media are a great way to help our fundraising project get seen.

We’ve showcased some of the ways Laika has supported the community, and we need your help to keep doing that! And get some of those giveaways going 😉

Our next giveaway is 20 Laika Press die-cut stickers and it unlocks at $250! Can you help us get there??

We’re counting on you Reno! And we can’t wait to do what we do best and share the support right back at ya!

A recent big project at Laika Press - Rachel hand pulled a bunch of 2 and 4-color t-shirts for RENO'S TRANSGENDER SUPPORT GROUP in our community printing studio! 💪 They came out so good.

This Sunday, Trans Support Reno will present an all day community event featuring art, music, and much more! All are welcome, see their page and The Holland Project for info. 💗

👀 Want to bring your vision to life with t-shirts or other apparel? We are always scheduling private screen printing trainings for individuals and small groups to get started with DIY screen printing. Learn a new skill and use our shared resources to print your own projects at Laika Press! Email [email protected] to get started.

When you donate to Laika Press or rent studio time, funds go straight back into covering our expenses, which (among other things!) allows us to keep facilitating projects like this to benefit our community.

Fun student work from our last Printmaking 101, where Rachel taught relief printing! What a great rainy day workshop 🌧️ Students got a safety and studio orientation and were introduced to printmaking and this technique, watched a demo, asked questions, and carved and printed their own blocks by hand and on the press. Now students can schedule studio time to come back and continue to practice their new skills! 🌱

COMING UP QUICK, we have Reduction Cut Relief with Aiyana on September 5th at the Holland Project (note time change) 10A-1PM. If you’ve ever dipped into block printing and want to explore more, this workshop is for you! Print, carve, repeat to add color and texture to relief prints. Link in bio to register 🔗 ☀️

Our 2026 printmaking workshop series is made possible in part by a grant from City of Reno Arts & Culture.
