Reno Little Theater Exceptional theatrical experiences that inspire, entertain, and strengthen our community through art. Hug High School. Pueblo St. that was completed in 2012.

Reno Little Theater produced it first play, Three Cornered Moon, at the University of Nevada in 1935, making RLT Reno’s (and Nevada’s) oldest community theater, and one of the country’s oldest. In 1941, Reno Little Theater purchased Dania Hall, at Sierra and 7th Streets and, with community funding and volunteer labor, remodeled the building and finished the interior as its first theater. The build

ing served Reno Little Theater for over 50 years before being demolished to make room for a casino parking garage. Reno Little Theater was unhoused for a while and productions were performed at Procter R. Currently, Reno Little Theater performs in its 120 seat venue at 147 E. Reno Little Theater is a volunteer driven, non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible. We welcome volunteers in all areas of community theater.

It's almost time for the first Broadway Our Way show of the season!

Desperate Housewives of Shakespeare

Okay, these housewives may not be real, but they are desperate. Shakespeare has been manipulating and twisting their lives for six plays now, and they desperately want to escape his evil machinations. But are they desperate enough to commit murder? Shakespeare has been found dead: stabbed, poisoned, starved, choked, bitten by an asp, and even turned into a baardvark. Lady Macbeth, Juliet, Kate, Rosalind, Cleopatra, and Titania all had the means and the motive to kill Shakespeare, but who really did it? This comic tragedy (or is that tragic comedy?) has all of the action of a Shakespearean play but with none of those angsty monologues about the meaning of life.

Thank you and congratulations to the amazing cast and crew of "The Play That Goes Wrong" as they wrap up their sold-out, extended run today! Y'all literally put your bodies on the line every night and delivered an absolute smashing success of a show. Now, one more show and then ice and an epsom salt bath.

We’re holding auditions for our 92nd Season Mainstage productions!

Please prepare 1 or 2 short monologues (60-90 seconds; contrasting is best if you're doing 2). If you wish to be considered for HAIR, please plan one short monologue and a song cut (~32bars or 60-90 seconds). We will have a live accompanist at the Sunday auditions only. Singing with the accompanist is preferred; however, you may bring a track (on your phone or ipad) and we can plug and play for you!

Additional casting information & breakdowns will be available at the auditions and on our website at https://www.renolittletheater.org/audition, but actors are encouraged to research the shows on their own! Casting is open to actors of all genders, ethnicities, ages, and backgrounds.
