This past week, we had the special opportunity to gather in person with four Portland-area INCIGHT Scholars on the South Waterfront in Portland, Oregon, as part of our 2026 INCIGHT Scholar Orientation season!

Hosted by Pia Gilgen, INCIGHT Director of Education, and Scott Hatley, INCIGHT Executive Director, the event brought together scholars and members of the INCIGHT team for meaningful conversation and connection.

As these students prepare to head off to college this fall, we loved hearing what they’re looking forward to, learning about their summer adventures, and spending time together as a community.

We are so proud of our 2026 INCIGHT Scholars and grateful for every opportunity to connect with these future leaders!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our latest Get Ahead Event, “Amplify Your LinkedIn Presence!”

We were excited to welcome 33 job seekers for an engaging workshop led by our guest speaker, Claire Martin, Director of Employer Engagement at Willamette University. Claire shared practical strategies for creating a strong LinkedIn profile, building a professional brand, growing your network, and getting noticed by recruiters and employers.

One attendee shared this feedback after the workshop:

“Thank you so much for helping arrange and organize this morning’s Zoom meeting! It was very helpful and impactful—to the point I started updating my LinkedIn immediately afterwards.”

Hearing that participants are taking immediate action is exactly why we offer our Get Ahead Events. Our goal is to provide practical tools and insights to help job seekers build confidence and advance their careers.
