✨ Member Monday Spotlight: Aakanksha ✨
Aakanksha is a Corporate Sales Manager with United Airlines, based in San Francisco, where she focuses on building strong partnerships within the business travel space.
She was inspired to get involved with GBTA through opportunities for networking, professional development, and industry connection—especially as a participant in GBTA Ladders Season 12 and through the valuable education offered by GBTA.
GBTA has helped her grow through peer-to-peer networking and hands-on experiences, strengthening her leadership and project management skills. She is the Director government and community relations on the GBTA SV Board which has allowed her to contribute meaningful content while continuing to grow professionally.
Her favorite GBTA moments include attending the CPC Summit in Miami, representing the Silicon Valley Board and connecting with global professionals, as well as the joint Education Day in Salem.
Her advice to new members: stay active and engaged—attend events, build relationships, volunteer, and take advantage of programs like scholarships, certifications, and Ladders.
She’s especially excited about trends like sustainability in travel, including carbon transparency and SAF, along with advancements in technology, traveler experience, and evolving corporate travel policies.
