Coldwater Lake event
Although there was mist/rain down on the interstate and you literally felt like you were flying through clouds (kind of scary going over a bridge and only having 25 ft visibility), we broke through and had tremendous weather with blue skies. Kevin, Chever, James, and Ashwin made the trek and was rewarded with beautiful weather with a brisk breeze that let up on our return leg. I think we paddled just over 7 miles, but the voyage was uneventful (nobody fell in the water). We stopped for lunch at the midway point when we reached the headwaters of the lake.

What Does "1,001 Unique Veterans" Mean?

At Team River Runner, a Unique Veteran is an individual veteran who has participated in at least one of our events, clinics, or adaptive paddling programs.

That means we've now welcomed 1,001 different veterans into the Team River Runner community.

This milestone does not represent the total number of program visits or participant attendances. Many of these veterans return again and again to paddle, connect, heal, and build community—bringing our total program participation to many thousands of experiences.

Every veteran represents another life touched through the power of recreation, camaraderie, and community.

1,001 veterans. Countless moments of connection. One incredible mission.

Thank you to our volunteers, supporters, partners, and veterans for making this milestone possible.

Today we had the pleasure of getting 20 Veterans and their families on the water. We hosted a Flatwater paddle and a Deschutes River paddle. Thank you Veterans for spending your valuable time with us. Look for our Family Paddle on the 31, and more events in August.
