On June 1st, 1996, over 300,000 people rallied in DC for Stand for Children Day — the momentous event that inspired the founding of Stand for Children.

Over the last 3 decades, we've been a voice for children in Oregon's capitol, advocating for improved access to career technical education, research-aligned literacy instruction, and time in school.

Did you know it's national spelling bee week? Research-aligned spelling instruction involves phonics, phonemic awareness, and morphology!

In case you missed it... The Oregon Journalism Project and Willamette Week highlighted one of Oregon's literacy trailblazers — our friend, Ronda Fritz out of Eastern Oregon University.

Ronda's High Impact Tutoring program that partners Eastern Oregon University students with local schools has inspired us to do the same in communities across the state.

Educators in our network get access to the latest research, in-person and virtual coaching and professional development, and resources to share with their colleagues.

Our work doesn't stop in the legislature. Dana is in classrooms across the state helping educators to build their practices and implement the science of reading with integrity.
