Friendship Group for Autistic Kids (suggested ages: 7 – 13)

Meets Every Monday, from 6:00pm – 6:45pm.

A place to meet, get to know each other, be silly, explore common interests, and make friends. On alternating Monday meetings, the group plays Minecraft. This group is meeting online, with occasional in person meetups.

This group meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 1-2 PM online.

New Description! This group is for Autistic teens and young adults who may need a parent, guardian, or caregiver to participate. Our group enjoys miniature environments like toy trains, watching clips together mostly of animated short films and shows, music and dance videos. They also enjoy drawing together.

The young autistic adult group is led by Danitza Galvan who has a Master’s Degree in Early Intervention/Special Education and who is the parent of a young Autistic adult.

Time: 5pm - 6:30pm
90 Minute Presentation and Roleplay Activities - NO Physical Defense Skills Will Be Taught
Offered by the City of Portland's Rose City Self-Defense Program specifically for Autistic participants.
Open to all genders and anyone age 16 and older. Autistic participants with or without a formal diagnosis are welcome. Supporters and caregivers are also welcome but must register on a separate Support Person/Caregiver Ticket.
Limit of 20 participants plus 20 support/caregivers due to space considerations.

Monday Jun 22, 2026 ⋅ 6:30pm – 7:30pm (Pacific Time - Los Angeles)
Presented by The Autism Society of Oregon

Meets: 2nd Saturday & 3rd Monday of each month. In months where the dates are too close together, the Monday group meets on the following Monday.
Time: 6:30–7:30 PM

This peer-led social group is for young adults ages 18–30 who are no longer in school.
Participants must be at least 18 years old; the group is not open to minors.

Two group consultants attend each session to help create a socially safe environment by mediating conflict when needed and supporting participants in making connections.
Please note: This is not a skill-building class.
