Fabulous turnout for the $19,000 check presentation representing the appeal bid from our 2026 auction! In attendance were PEF Board members, Auction Committee members, district administrators and staff. The highlight was the LEAP and Lifeskills students who will benefit from our supporters generosity.

We have amazing news to share!

Our recent auction raised $19,000 for the LEAP and LifeSkills Community Fund! This generosity will make a lasting impact for these students.

The PEF board and the auction committee thank those that donated. We experienced the power of community at our event in April.

Our ‘Senior Prom’ dinner auction was filled with tuxes and beautiful dresses. It was an amazing night with PEF supporters and friends. We can safely say the appeal bid for Lifeskills Community Outings exceeded our goal. Thank you everyone who helped make our 21st event a resounding success.

The PEF provided a grant to the high school choir for new jackets. Choir director, John Crever, says, “Thanks to your support in purchasing choir blazers, our students now present a unified, polished look in every performance. Having matching attire has made a powerful difference—not only in how our choir is perceived, but in how students see themselves. There’s a real sense of pride and belonging that comes from stepping on stage as a true ensemble.”

PEF was able to help purchase iPads to assist students with communication issues. OMSI brought a fun school assembly and a bug workshop to students at Shaver, thanks to a PEF grant. Teacher Stephanie Quilmann says, “The assembly included lots of cool science experiments and even an explosion at the end of the presentation! 1st graders also enjoyed a hands-on OMSI workshop about the amazing adaptations of bugs. The highlight by far was making our own marshmallow insects to take home at the end of the workshop!”

High School teacher Jennifer Handsaker recently took a group of students to Ecuador. She says, “Ecuador was amazing! The kids got to do experiments at the equator, visit a community run entirely by women and go on a whitewater rafting trip.” These students did lots of fundraising and the PEF was also able to assist.
