Today we start our annual 5-Day-Countdown to TICKETS GOING ON SALE! For day 1, we wanted to share a small sneak peek into the early days of our rehearsal process! There are so many moving pieces that all have to seamlessly come together to create a Midwinter Revels show, which is why we start early. Performers have to learn music, blocking, lines...and on top of all of that, remain "in character" throughout the show!

Mark your calendars for Monday October 12th to get your tickets so you can come see everyone's hard work pay off this December!

This year's Midwinter Revels show, BREAD & ROSES, features the work of several different American composers from the early 1900s, and we wanted to highlight just a few of them! This year's Midwinter Revels centers on folks newly arrived in the US at the start of the 20th century. Which got us curious about the forebears of our own Revels community members. Today, we're excited to post the first in our line-up of Ancestor Features! Read all about Bertha and Joseph - where they came from, why they came to the United States, and what they did once they were here.

Can you guess whose ancestors these are? Swipe to the end to find out!

In a previous post, we shared about the different nationalities represented in the historical Bread and Roses Strike - next, we look forward to highlighting some of the nationalities represented by our cast and crew! As the Midwinter Revels celebrates many of the communities that helped build this country, we will be featuring the ancestors of different members of our Revels community, honoring some of the many stories that have brought us all together. Keep an eye out for posts about these forebears - where they came from, why they immigrated, and how they lived.

Where did your family come from? Share in the comments!
And if you are descended from the indigenous stewards of this land, share that too!
