I’m Minh Tran, One of Kindness Founder and CEO.

The One of Kindness is new and innovative Not for Profit Organization which aims to cultivate hardworking and upstanding individuals into top professionals in their field of work but in a slightly different setting. The founders, members and modestly compensated professionals are the integral part of 1-OK to help promote the growth and vision of the company. We sincerely are grateful for the suppo

rt from our families, friends, youth groups and the extended community. Please support 1-OK by letting the words out. Our initial goal is to raise awareness for 1-OK through creative fund raisers. Our mentors, volunteers, and future young leaders will collaborate to find innovative methods to help ourselves, others and the less fortunate. An example of a creative fundraiser that our future young leaders could help other and as the same time themselves would be a fundraising car wash marketed and organized by the brain power of our youth but the brawn parts which will do all of the car washing would be done by the very people they are trying to help, the unemployed and the homeless. Many careful considerations will need to be put into this type of creative fundraiser such as neighborhood safety, liabilities, labor laws, taxes, and etc.. In this example, our young leaders will put in practice the old sayings of “use more of your brains and less of your brawns” and “if you teach a man how to fish, he will be able to feed himself for a lifetime.”

Major Updates: We need more week nights dinner traffic. Our Saturday nights are the only nights not impacted but that is not sustainable for any business. Not so long ago(8 months) the tents were surrounding the Northwest Park blocks in. Drug dealers, crimes and zombies like users were laying waste and deliver the final death blow to all the residents and businesses. Sadly our next door neighbor Sante Bar shut its door 4 months ago. We dropped 50% of our traffic since the pandemic and during the 150 day long protest already, the encampments in the 8 months prior have now dropped our week night dinner volume another 20% despite everything being cleared out. I think we are the only pre pandemic restaurant/bar/cafe/retail business that survived in the vast North Park Blocks area.

Please come back to the area and give it a last chance since it is much cleaner and safer now, almost back to the pre-pandemic conditions. We will try to hold the lines as long as we can, waiting for "our allies" to join us in this last battle.

Please share or come and support our Wednesday dinners which we relaunched based on requests last week which very few customers came due to Wednesdays closure for almost a year now. It's very slow tonight also so please spread the words to help us keep Wednesday's dinner time open.
