🏕️ 10,461 students. One unforgettable camp experience. 💛

For 16-year-old Phiona, Africa New Life's annual student camp is more than a fun break from school. It's an opportunity to grow in her faith, build friendships, and spend intentional time with God.

Phiona is in Grade 12, studying Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology, and dreams of becoming a doctor. Through educational sponsorship, she's had the opportunity to attend three annual camps, where she's grown in her relationship with Christ.

And she's not alone!

🏕️ 10,461 students attended annual camp across Rwanda.

🙌 700+ students chose to follow Christ.

💧 300+ students were baptized.

This year's theme, inspired by Psalm 27:4, was "The One Thing That Matters Most." What a beautiful reminder of the importance of seeking God's presence!

Nora is a college junior juggling classes, two jobs, groceries, game days, and the occasional stop at 7 Brew. ☕📚🏈

She’s also the sponsor of Felicienne, the little girl in these photos.

While Nora was growing up, her family sponsored two students through Africa New Life. Their letters and photos arrived in the family mailbox, and Nora got to know their favorite subjects, see their handwriting develop, and hear about their goals. When Felicienne needed a sponsor, Nora knew it was time to make room in her own budget.

That meant fewer meals out and fewer stops at 7 Brew between classes. For $43 a month, she could begin walking alongside Felicienne as she learns and grows.

At 6 years old, Malik is energetic, eager to learn, and already has big dreams for his future. But as school fees continue to rise, the education he is so excited to pursue could be interrupted.

A day in Malik’s life looks a little like this:

🎒 Head to elementary school

Meet some of the people behind Africa New Life! 🇷🇼💛

For 25 years, our staff in Rwanda have faithfully served students, families, churches, and communities across the country. Some of the people pictured here have been part of Africa New Life since the very beginning!

Africa New Life is a Rwandan-led ministry. Our East African staff lead from their local knowledge, relationships, and expertise. They are pastors, teachers, chefs, drivers, child welfare officers, program managers, communicators, team trip leaders, and so much more.

Through educational sponsorship, many of these dedicated staff members walk alongside students each day, helping them access education, care, discipleship, and opportunities to pursue their dreams.
