Meet some of the people behind Africa New Life! 🇷🇼💛

For 25 years, our staff in Rwanda have faithfully served students, families, churches, and communities across the country. Some of the people pictured here have been part of Africa New Life since the very beginning!

Africa New Life is a Rwandan-led ministry. Our East African staff lead from their local knowledge, relationships, and expertise. They are pastors, teachers, chefs, drivers, child welfare officers, program managers, communicators, team trip leaders, and so much more.

Through educational sponsorship, many of these dedicated staff members walk alongside students each day, helping them access education, care, discipleship, and opportunities to pursue their dreams.

Different roles. One shared mission: transforming lives and communities through the two hands of the gospel.

Africa College of Theology has celebrated its third graduating class! 🎓

Graduation marks the completion of many hours spent studying Scripture, growing in faith, and preparing to serve others. Now, these graduates are ready to carry what they have learned into churches, ministries, and communities across Rwanda and beyond.

We celebrate their perseverance, their calling, and the people who encouraged them along the way. Please join us in praying that they will lead with wisdom, humility, and a deep love for Christ and His people.

If you've traveled to Rwanda with Africa New Life, there's a good chance you've met Jovan.

As our Team Trip and Special Projects Manager, Jovan has spent years serving students, welcoming visitors, and helping people experience the work God is doing across Rwanda. His passion for this ministry is evident in everything he does.

Now, he's taking on a new challenge.

After climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 2023, Jovan is trekking to Everest Base Camp to celebrate Africa New Life's 25th anniversary and raise $25,000 for our Food & Care Program.

Every dollar raised will help provide nutritious meals for students across Rwanda, giving them the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and pursue the futures God has planned for them.

In Jovan's words:

"After climbing Kilimanjaro in 2023, I knew I wanted to keep doing meaningful climbs, combining my love for adventure with a purpose that matters. Africa New Life means so much to me, and I'm honored to take on this challenge to help provide meals and care for students in Rwanda. I'd love for you to join me on this journey."

A gift of $35 provides 30 student meals.

“My name is Mwesigye Vincent, and I have worked with Africa New Life Ministries for the past seven years as a Child Development Officer in Nyamirama, Rwanda.

To me, child sponsorship means everything. It is about changing the lives of children and transforming families for generations to come.

This work is not always easy. There are many challenges that come with walking closely alongside children and families, but we never give up on them because we believe there is hope for every child.

That belief pushes us to encourage, support, and care for students every single day.

One of the moments that encouraged me most happened last year when one of our sponsored students became one of the top performers in Rwanda on the Primary Leaving Exams (PLE), the national exams students take before entering secondary school.

Moments like that remind us why this work matters. They remind us that when children are surrounded by opportunity, encouragement, faith, and education, lives can truly change.”
