There are only 6 days left for our Season of Giving Fundraiser! Please consider donating whatever you can to help bring our mission into the New Year of keeping wigs, hairpieces and extension out of landfills by restoring them and putting them into the hands of those may not be able to afford their own.

So far we have raised just over $1300 dollars but with your help, we can get closer to our goal.

With every donation of $100 or more, donors will receive one of our cute beanies made out of recycled material with our logo. The embroidery work was donated by Monograms on Webster in Chicago.

It finally happened! The Wig Cycle is officially 501c3 approved as a not-for-profit organization. We hope that this change in status will help us to grow this program, reach more of those in need and properly recycle unwanted wigs, hairpieces and extensions. Keeping alternative hair out of landfills is our main mission. Thank you to all of you who have donated in the past. We are working hard to process new donations that have come in and will be sending out tax receipts to all of you who have donated in 2022.

DROP OFF: The Wig Cycle just dropped off a restored wig to Compass Oncology for an oncology patient in need. Bringing smiles though new hair!

HAPPY EARTH DAY - The Wg Cycle has processed 1, 179 wigs, hairpiece and extension donations just this year alone. Our incredibly kind and mindful donors are doing the work to keep all of these pieces out of landfills by being the first part of our program. Each piece that comes in is unpacked, recorded, sorted into two categories - restore or recycle. All the pieces that can be restored are cleaned, styled, sometimes repaired and cut. Restored pieces are given out to those who cannot afford their own through our Reuse Community Outreach program. Those pieces that cannot be restored are recycled with TerraCycle.
