We teamed up with fellow 1803 cohort members Billy Webb Elks Lodge to continue our assistance towards their reopening.

Our mission was to help with the removal of items in basement storage that were damaged from the fire.

Close to a dozen volunteers showed up on a Saturday to help them declutter damaged property and reclaim their space.

BWEL is a storied institution in the Portland Black Community. They experienced a fire in 2021, and were forced to close their doors. They have since started rebuilding, and are on the path to becoming the community staple they once were.
