ATTENTION, PLEASE!!!
THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED.
Another occasion will be planned that will include a Mass, so as not to overwhelm the Mamaril family.
Please know that the utmost concern is ApuSim's day-to-day condition (HE IS WELL for a 99-yo), but he is easily overwhelmed and irritated.
Although we want to celebrate him, it is important for us to consider that whatever we do needs to be enjoyable for him and his family.
Please stay tuned!
IN THE MEANTIME -- I encourage you to send individual video greetings (via messenger here, or email to [email protected]) with the following criteria:
a) maximum of 3 minutes
b) introduce yourself and say your name clearly
c) share HOW do you know ApuSim and for how long
d) whatever else you'd like to greet him with BUT UNDER 3 MINUTES.
Deadline -- February 9th.

This party will be hosted by his daughter Jennyann Suguitan.
MUCH GRATITUDE to Jenny's team of volunteers, including the Board of Directors and Officers of FAAPVI-Filipino American Association of Portland & Vicinity, Inc (notably Lorena Pioquinto and Joe Ramirez, who are in charge of the building and other aspects), and also long-time friends of Apo Sim, including but not limited to, Dolly Pangan-Specht, Chuck Reidy, Mina Tahayeri, and Sima Felina. π€©
Please join friends and family of Simeon Mamaril, in celebrating this huge milestone in his life! π
** If you can't attend in person, please reach out to Dolly Pangan-Specht as she will compile video greetings so that Apo Sim may view them. **
This is a POTLUCK, and not a catered event.
If you will be coming to this party, please bring a dish to share with everyone. EXCEPT PANCIT, because Jenny will bring pancit to share with everyone.
Mr. Simeon Mamaril has volunteered and served the Filipino American, and other Asian communities, of Oregon and Southwest Washington, for over 70 years, on several boards, committees, and organizations. π
There will be music to dance to, provided by the Filipino American Association of Portland.
Karaoke?... Maybe. After all ~ it's a pinoy thing to do at gatherings. π
SPECIAL THANKS to Ryan Cook, an FAAPVI Director, who handles the technical aspects of the Fil-am Center, including the music, sound system, and the karaoke player. πΆπ΅
MABUHAY!! π΅π πΊπ²
With much love, friendship, and gratitude,
Friends & Family of Apo Sim β€οΈ
