In 2025 Lynne Rienner published Desmond Dinan’s new text, A Concise History of the European Union. Vicki L. Roy H. Ginsberg, founding member of EUSA and the second Chair of the EUSA Executive Committee, passed away last month at the age of 71. In sending this announcement to EUSA, Roy’s wife, Kirsten Mishkin, shared her memory of the night on his patio in Washington, DC when the idea for the organization was first raised. His contributions to EUSA and to the field were considerable.
