Our team had a great time at the Back to School event with our friends at Casa San José!

Along with school supplies, attendees received a Personal Care Kit to help provide health and hygiene throughout the upcoming school year. Each kit contains dental floss, soap, shampoo, deodorant and lotion – all full-size containers.

We’re grateful to be part of an event that helps local students start the school year feeling prepared, confident, and cared for!

☀️ Summer of Surplus

While IV poles may seem like a simple piece of equipment, they play an essential role in delivering medications, fluids, and other lifesaving treatments every day. That’s why they are one of our most-needed clinical items.

For many healthcare facilities around the world, aging equipment is still part of everyday patient care, as shown in the first photo.

Thanks to UPMC Washington, we recently received about 200 IV poles that will help provide reliable equipment where it’s needed most.

From Pittsburgh to Around the World 🌍

As University of Pittsburgh prepares for the fall semester, many residence halls are replacing beds that are still in great condition. Instead of discarding them, they gave them to us so they can support health centers around the world.

One example is Municipio Palca facility Ovejuyo in Bolivia (second photo), where donated dorm beds are being used in the maternal unit and throughout the health center.

What is no longer needed in one place can make a difference in another.
