The Three Rivers Arts Festival is back on June 11-14 from 12 PM - 8 PM, and the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh will be in the Creativity Zone from 12 PM - 6 PM!

Turn your heart into art! Using a 3x3 canvas, markers, paint, stickers, and colorful decorations, create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that shows what hope, kindness, and community look like through your eyes.

What does your heart hope for the world? How do you imagine communities coming together? Whether it’s love, peace, friendship, or unity, every canvas becomes part of a larger story celebrating creativity, connection, and the power of belonging. Leave your heart with us to be displayed among the other amazing artists at the Three Rivers Arts Festival, or take your masterpiece home with you! All ages are welcome, come make art from the heart!

What a beautiful Friday afternoon to celebrate a milestone years in the making!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the ribbon cutting of the newly renovated Allegheny YMCA and for sharing in this special moment for the North Side community, the City of Pittsburgh, and all those who will benefit from this space for generations to come.

As Mayor Corey O'Connor said so well, projects like this don't happen because of one person or one organization—they happen when an entire community comes together with a shared vision. Today's celebration was a testament to the partnerships, dedication, and collective effort that brought this transformation to life.

A special thank you to all of our speakers who helped commemorate this historic day, including Mayor Corey O'Connor, State Representative Aerion Abney, Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato, Amy H. Kienle, Robin Wiessmann, State Senator Wayne Fontana, and Secretary Rick Siger.

Together, we've preserved a historic community asset while creating new opportunities for health, wellness, connection, and belonging. This is more than a renovated building, it's an investment in people, families, and the future of our community.

Thank you for being part of this incredible day. The next chapter of the Allegheny YMCA begins now. 💙

At the Y, sports are about more than the scoreboard.
They build confidence, spark friendships, and help kids discover what they’re capable of on and off the field.

That’s why the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh is proud to join ESPN Citizenship's Take Back Sports movement during ESPN’s Youth Sports Week.

Through partnerships like the Jr. Cavs, Jr. Pens Dek Hockey & NHL Street, and NFL FLAG Football, we’re creating more opportunities for kids to play, grow, and belong.

Let’s take back sports together.

Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday to the Baierl Family YMCA for such an amazing event—especially Chris Draft for the time he spent connecting with every person in the room.

From sharing his story to speaking one-on-one with our LIVESTRONG participants, Chris reminded us what this program is truly about—connection, community, and showing up for one another.

Now, the challenge has been issued to YMCAs across the country doing incredible LIVESTRONG work… who will step up?
