Post 980 Members, we can use your help with our Fundraiser Italian Festival Spaghetti Dinner on November 8th.

There are many ways that you can help... you can volunteer to help the night of the Fundraiser by helping serve, help sell raffle tickets or 50/50 tickets, take tickets at the door or help clean up.

You don't have to work the entire night, if you can give a hour or two we can schedule times.

You can also help by donating items or a basket for the basket raffle, solicit businesses for gift certificates, cards, services or items for baskets.

You can also help by donating cookies or desserts for the Spaghetti Dinner.

We all need to work together to keep our Post going I these unsure times.

If you can help in any way please contact the post Manager Ja Stoddard.

Thank you in advance.🙂

To all of our Legion Post 980 members, you will see a lot more fun events & activities coming to our Post 980 in the months ahead and we are happy to provide these to our members, but it is more than just events & activities.

We need your support more than ever since we have lost a significate source of revenue to our post. It is a struggle for everyone in these hard economic times, but as a family, if we all work together, we will survive. This Legions Family, our Regular Members, Social Members, ALA & Sal will have to be diligent & work together to keep our Post 980 going.

With that goal in mind in keeping this post active for our military and veterans who count on it being here and for our friends, family & community who find a safe and social place to come for comradery and to keep the many programs going that benefit our military, our veterans & our community. Please be mindful that we need your support, we won't survive without you.

We are much more than just a "social club", we are a National Organization that is a lifeline to many who count on us and we are proud and honored to be here, to stand for Americanism and community.

So when you see an event or activity, please support them by purchasing tickets, invite friends and neighbors to come, this is a major help.

You can support you post by volunteering your time with these many activities, any time that you can give is so helpful. If you can't volunteer maybe help with donations, we will sometimes ask for baked goods for a event or items to make raffle baskets, you can solicited gift cards from businesses, if you are a business owner provide a gift certificate for a service, put up posters or just support your post by spending time, enjoy a drink and friendship with members, come for dinner, remember to purchase a fundraiser raffle when at the post, whatever you can do is helpful in this mission to keep your home Post 980 going.

As a member of this Post and a proud ALA Member, I thank you and hope to see you at these upcoming Events & Activities.

SAL Squad 980 Members. I'm sure you know that we have a busy weekend coming up starting with the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, which the SAL Squad 980 is hosting along with the help of the ALA Unit 980 and our home Post 980 and we hope you can attend.
The next day Saturday Sept. 12th is the SAL's big Fundraiser, Golf Outing. We could use your help....
If you could donate a dozen or two of cookies, store bought or homemade towards this fundraiser, we would greatly appreciate it and we know the golfers will love it, they love their sweets.
We have relied on our Legion Family to help us out in the past and could use your help again. You can drop them off on Friday Sept. 11th or Saturday morning Sept 12th. We are also looking for volunteers to help with set up and clean up on 9/11. You can respond to this post in comment or email me at [email protected]
We want to thank you in advance for your help and support.
