The Blessing Board is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that exists to provide donated household items and home medical equipment to those in need in response to what God has done for us. Today TBB operates at a 45,000 sq ft space in Oakmont, PA, thanks to the 800+ volunteers per year that make it happen. Over 700 requests for help are currently received per month and, due to volunteer and logis

tics constraints, on average only 95 of those families can be helped. As you can imagine, the opportunities to bless others are enormous and there is a constant need for support to keep the blessings flowing.

What an incredible night at Taco Thursday!

We are overflowing with gratitude for everyone who joined us last night to support The Blessing Board. From delicious tacos by PGH Eatz Taco Truck, to margaritas, refreshing beer from Dancing Gnome, and sweet treats from Oakmont Bakery. It was truly a night to remember!

John is stepping into a brand new chapter ❤️

After spending 40 years in the prison system, he is now transitioning into a place to call his own. A skilled tailor, John worked hard after his release, even trading his craft for food and shelter as he rebuilt his life.

During his time away, he found his faith—and it changed everything. After being diagnosed with COPD in 2017, he made the decision to walk away from smoking and drugs for good.

John shared his story with honesty and courage. He spoke about how his past does not define him, but instead shapes the man he is becoming. His goal is simple but powerful: to be the best version of himself.

We were honored to walk alongside John and help turn his new house into a home. ❤️ Stories like his remind us that redemption is real, hope is alive, and new beginnings are always possible.

We had an incredible time at our April Lunch & Learn!

A heartfelt thank you to the 25 social workers representing 22 different Pittsburgh-area agencies who joined us—we’re so grateful for your partnership and the work you do every day to serve our community.

It was a meaningful time of connection, networking, and learning together. We especially appreciated hearing from our guest speakers, James Greer (Allegheny County Housing Authority) and Catherine Bichler (Soldier On Inc), along with insights from our Program Staff here at The Blessing Board.

We’re thankful for each of you and look forward to continuing to serve alongside you! ❤️
