The Blessing Board

The Blessing Board Since TBB's inception, thousands of families throughout Allegheny County have received blessings from The Blessing Board. Visit our website for more information

The Blessing Board is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that exists to provide donated household items and home medical equipment to those in need in response to what God has done for us. Today TBB operates at a 45,000 sq ft space in Oakmont, PA, thanks to the 800+ volunteers per year that make it happen. Over 700 requests for help are currently received per month and, due to volunteer and logistics constraints, on average only 95 of those families can be helped. As you can imagine, the opportunities to bless others are enormous and there is a constant need for support to keep the blessings flowing.

Thank you to all of our Celebration of Blessings 2026 event sponsors.

Celebration of Blessings is our marquee fundraising event, with proceeds directly supporting our mission to provide donated household furnishings and home medical equipment to neighbors in need at no cost. This year, we honor William Kassling, former Chairman and CEO of Wabtec. The evening will be emceed by Tom Usher, former CEO of U.S. Steel and Marathon Oil.

A sponsorship of Celebration of Blessings is more than a contribution. It’s a partnership that delivers meaningful, measurable impact for families in need.

After losing everything in the Eaton Fires in California in January 2025, Jim* found himself starting over in ways he never imagined. The devastation took more than possessions — it disrupted his sense of stability and home.

After receiving shelter at a shelter in California, Jim began rebuilding piece by piece. Eventually, he made his way back to Pittsburgh — the city where he grew up — hoping to find familiar ground and a fresh start.

That journey led him to us. We had the privilege of coming alongside him, helping furnish his new space and praying over his next steps. What was lost in the fire does not define his future. This season is about restoration, resilience, and the steady work of beginning again. ❤️

Thanks to the generosity of the Snee-Reinhardt Charitable Foundation, we have been able to install new racking at our South warehouse in West Mifflin. As The Blessing Board has grown in both product donations and demand for our services, including the expansion of our Home Medical Equipment program to the South location this year, our storage reached its capacity. With 2,400 square feet of additional storage space, we can improve the efficiency of our operations and the safety of our staff and volunteers. As you can see, the new racking is already filled with furniture!
