It takes a lot for Priscilla to get to the point where she wants to bite, but if you disturb her peace, she will tell you to move. Strong personalities take shape all different ways in pigs so it’s important that we treat them with respect. She didn’t harm me in this video, she just wanted me out of her space. And it was my fault, I was lingering a little too long after getting a lot of warnings from her. A little misunderstood but wanting to be loved on her own time is something we have come to expect from Penelope.

The sanctuary may be closed for the summer, but the piggies refused to take a vacation. This summer we’re taking Better Piggies on the road with our Snout and About community events, including Piggy Bingo, library speaker series, and more piggy-powered fun around the Valley. First up: Piggy Bingo at Loving Hut Glendale on June 20th! Come for the bingo, stay for the vegan food, and leave wondering how you suddenly became emotionally invested in a stuffed pig prize. SIX PIGS. SIX SECOND CHANCES! One of the things we love most about working in animal rescue is that no one can do it alone. At Better Piggies Rescue, we’re proud to partner with organizations like the who step in every day to help any animals in need. These six pigs were recently left behind on a property, and thanks to the Humane Society, they’re now safe, cared for, and ready to find their forever homes. Now it’s our turn to help spread the word.

Every pig deserves a family that sees them for who they are: intelligent, affectionate, funny little individuals with plenty of love to give. We know there are amazing pig people in our community. Maybe you’ve been considering adding pigs to your family. Maybe you know someone looking to adopt. Maybe you just have a big heart and can help share this post.
Rescue works best when shelters, rescues, sanctuaries, adopters, and supporters all work together. If we do that, there’s no reason these six piggies can’t find the happy endings they deserve.
