After years of traveling the world and sharing his adventures with our students as they explored faraway places and different cultures, Ricky’s journey finally led him back home to Desert Willow this year — and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him home! 💙💛🏜️

From global adventures to cheering on our Roadrunners, Ricky reminded us that no matter where life takes you, home will always be Desert Willow. ✨

So many amazing memories, milestones, friendships, and moments are captured in this year’s DWES Yearbook. 📘💙💛

Last Friday, we had the honor of welcoming back former Desert Willow Roadrunners — the graduating seniors from Cactus Shadows High School! 💙💛

These incredible seniors walked the halls where their journeys first began, gave high fives to our current students, reconnected with past teachers, and met Ricky the Roadrunner for the very first time… and let’s just say Ricky was a huge hit!

🇺🇸🛣️ Our Teacher Appreciation Road Trip officially reached its final stop on Friday… Sweet Home Finale! ❤️💙

We traveled coast to coast celebrating the incredible teachers and staff who go the EXTRA MILE for our Roadrunners every single day.

To wrap up our journey, we treated our staff to an Americana picnic-style lunch complete with burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, apple pie à la mode, and lemonade. 🍔🌭🥧

Thanks for all your support during the boosterhon fundraiser! We reached our goal so Princpal Dunlap dressed up in the kids costume choices last week! She’s the absolute best!

🗽🚕 Day 4 on our Teacher Appreciation Road Trip and we made it to the concrete jungle where dreams are made of… NEW YORK CITY! ✨

We welcomed our staff with a New York bagel breakfast complete with all the fixings. 🥯☕️

🚗💨 Day 3 of our Teacher Appreciation Week road trip brought us down South for some comfort food favorites! 🤠

Today our amazing staff enjoyed a hearty lunch filled with Southern comfort classics, sweet tea, and a few surprise raffle winners along the way! 🎟️✨

Y’all keep us on the road to success, and we are so grateful for everything you do for our Roadrunners every single day. ❤️💙💛
