We love seeing our Village Dogs getting some attention! 🐾💛

The Village Dogs pilot program is creating another pathway for long-stay shelter dogs to find their people — and we’re grateful to everyone helping us bring it to life.

The program is partially funded through the generous support of McS Charitable Foundation and Two Pups Wellness Fund, and our first group of Village Dogs came to us from Maricopa County Animal Care & Control.

It truly takes a village, and we’re excited to see what’s ahead for these deserving dogs.

An Arizona animal welfare organization has launched a new adoption program aimed at finding homes for dogs that have lingered in the county shelter system for more than a month.

Heidi’s Village, a resource hub for rescue organizations across the state, announced Village Dogs, a pilot program that transfers long-stay dogs from Maricopa County Animal Care & Control and makes them available for adoption at the Heidi’s Village facility.
