💙 Bringing su***de prevention education directly to our youth.

Our Greater Philadelphia Chapter Education Chair, Jessica Hallahan, recently had the opportunity to present AFSP’s It’s Real: Teens and Mental Health program at Community Academy of Philadelphia, PA Charter School.

Through back-to-back presentations, Jessica connected with the school’s 9th–12th grade students, helping young people learn more about mental health, recognize when they or someone they know may be struggling, and understand the importance of reaching out for support.

We’re incredibly grateful to Community Academy of Philadelphia for welcoming AFSP and making space for these important conversations. Every conversation about mental health helps us build a community where young people know they don’t have to struggle in silence.
