Calling all string players ages 7-18! Auditions for the 2026–2027 the Musicopia String Orchestras close Monday August 31st!

Whether your student is looking to improve their skills, make new friends, or just love playing your instrument, we'd love to hear from your young performer!

The MSO Program is

Musicopia is wishing students, staff, and families a warm welcome back to school!
Our summer was full of performances, programs, and opportunities to bring people together-- now we’re looking forward to seeing young people get back to learning, back to the rhythms, back to being together, now that school is starting back up. At Musicopia, we are here to connect teaching artists, students, and programs positively impacting their communities in and out of the classroom.

Please join us in welcoming Lorenzo Raval as the Musicopia String Orchestras' new Artistic Director & Conductor!
Lorenzo officially stepped into the role on August 1, bringing his experience as a violinist, violist, educator, and musician to the MSO program.
Born and raised in Quezon City, Philippines, Lorenzo holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and a Master of Music in Viola Performance from Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance. He first joined the Musicopia String Orchestras' violin faculty in 2024, and we’re excited to welcome him into his new role!

The Musicopia String Orchestras (MSO) program brings young musicians together to grow as performers building confidence, collaboration, and a lifelong love of music. 🎻
With three ensembles for students ages 7–18, the MSO is a supportive environment where musicians of varying experience levels can learn from professional Teaching Artists, and perfomm exciting repertoire.
Tuition to the program is free, and transportation is available for participants who need it.

Mad Beatz Philly's summer program featured middle school drumlines led by professional and apprentice-program teachers, and we were proud to be a part of it.
