Miya had dreams that reached far beyond what the world came to know.

She was working toward a future filled with purpose—studying health and sports medicine while embracing every opportunity to learn, create, travel, and grow. She was a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a young woman excited about what the future held.

Today, on we remember not only the life that was taken, but the dreams that deserved the chance to flourish. Her legacy lives on through the work of the Miya Marcano Foundation as we advocate for safer housing, stronger protections for renters, and a future where no family's dreams are cut short by preventable tragedy.
