This week, we're recognizing FNA member Barbara Russell, MPH, BSHSA, RN, CIC, FAPIC, whose extraordinary career in infectious disease prevention earned her induction into the American Nurses Association Hall of Fame.

The ANA Hall of Fame recognizes nurses whose lifelong commitment to the profession has shaped the health and social history of the United States. Barbara's decades of leadership in infection prevention—including her work during the 2014 Ebola outbreak and the COVID-19 pandemic—have had a lasting impact on healthcare and patient safety.
