🏃‍♀️💚 We're looking for Volunteer Coaches! 💚🏃‍♀️

Girl Scouts of Citrus is partnering with Girls on the Run of Central Florida, and we're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help inspire the next generation of girls!

Practices will be held twice a week from 4:00–6:00 PM at Celia Lane Scout House during the fall season, running September 14 through December 6.

As a coach, you'll guide girls through a season of fun, confidence-building lessons focused on physical activity, teamwork, and personal growth. No running experience is required—just a passion for encouraging and supporting youth! ✨

Through this program, participating Girl Scouts will earn:
🥾 Trail Adventure Badge
🧠 Mental Wellness Badge
🤝 Sportsmanship/Games Badge

Coaches receive training, resources, and ongoing support throughout the season—and many say they get just as much out of the experience as the girls do!

Girl Scouts of Citrus invites volunteers, alumni, parents, and community members to join a Property Focus Group and share ideas for the future of our camps, program centers, and Girl Scout spaces. Your feedback will help guide future improvements while preserving the traditions and experiences that make Girl Scouting special.

🇺🇸✨ Join us for the opening ceremony of She Proudly Served: Women in the Military, the newest exhibit at the Women’s History & Cultural Center.

This special event honors the courage, dedication, and service of women who have shaped our nation’s military history. Guests will have the opportunity to meet four distinguished women inducted into the Florida Veterans’ Hall of Fame, enjoy light refreshments, and explore the exhibit during this meaningful celebration.

Running June 10 through September 30, the exhibit highlights the evolving roles of women in the military from the Revolutionary War through the Iraq War. Featuring both historical figures and local heroes, She Proudly Served recognizes the lasting impact women have made across all five military branches through leadership, perseverance, and service.
