On June 25, some of our Girl Scouts, families, and staff had the opportunity to participate in the Worlds Largest Swimming Lesson event at Typhoon Lagoon!

Team WLSL is working to help prevent childhood drowning by spreading the important message that Swimming Lessons Save Lives. We’re so grateful to have been part of this event and to support the incredible work they’re doing to help make children safer around the world. 🌎🏊‍♀️

🍪💚 Making an impact, one cookie at a time!

On August 4, Girl Scouts of Citrus was proud to donate 1,475 cases of Girl Scout Cookies to Give Kids The World !

We also had the opportunity to visit Give Kids The World Village, spend time with families, and see firsthand the incredible magic they create for children and their loved ones. ✨

💚✨ Why Girl Scouts? Because the adventure goes far beyond the troop meeting.

Girl Scouts gives girls the opportunity to explore new places, build confidence, discover passions, and make lifelong friendships.

Cadette Girl Scout Joanna from Troop 1819 experienced all of this and more at this summer’s Girl Scout Convention! Even though no one else from her troop attended, Joanna connected with Girl Scouts from Troop 4000, and made new friends while exploring Washington, D.C.

“My favorite part of the week was spending time with my Girl Scout friends!” Joanna shared.

From a sleepover at the Natural History Museum 🦖✨ to being inspired by Gold Award Girl Scouts, Joanna’s Convention experience sparked excitement for her own Silver Award journey. She’s already looking ahead to the 2029 Convention in Indianapolis, where she hopes to become a delegate!

🚀✨ Reaching for the stars!

Our Cadettes and Seniors had an out-of-this-world experience as they earned their Space Science Researcher and Expert badges! 🌎🌙

Throughout the program, Girl Scouts explored the science behind space, rockets, aerodynamics, and solar and lunar eclipses before putting their knowledge to the test by launching their very own bottle rockets! 🚀

At Girl Scouts of Citrus, we're igniting curiosity in every girl through hands-on exploration, STEM learning, and leadership opportunities that inspire the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and dreamers. 💚

💚 Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's Community Team Conference (CTC)!

Each year, CTC brings together our incredible community team members and council staff to connect, collaborate, and kick off a brand-new Girl Scout year. From council updates and new initiatives to sharing ideas and celebrating the impact of our volunteers, the day was filled with inspiration, learning, and excitement for what's ahead.

Most importantly, thank you to our volunteers. Your passion, leadership, and dedication make Girl Scouts possible for thousands of girls across Central Florida. The feedback, ideas, and conversations shared throughout the conference will help us continue to grow and strengthen the Girl Scout experience.
