Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman, their spouses and children. The Foundation coordinates closely with Reconnaissance commands to support critical needs of active-duty operators while also providing resources for Reconnaissance veterans. Our work is focused on four key areas: Critical and ongoing support for the wounded, family services command support, educational programs, and legacy ac

tivities. The Foundation was formed in June of 2013 when it was identified that there was no foundation or support for this special community and their families. This foundation will make it easier for families to receive assistance and support from one organization that is solely dedicated to the Reconnaissance community. Statement of Purpose
Established to serve U.S. Marine Corps Reconnaissance personnel, and their families, the Marine Reconnaissance Foundation offers critical support to Reconnaissance commands, active-duty personnel, their families and former Reconnaissance Marines and Sailors. As the duration and frequency of training and operational deployments continue, and the stress on the families and Marines grows, this special community requires support today more than ever.

Ko’olau Distillery’s Reconnaissance Foundation single barrel small batch Bourbon is still available!

The aging MRF bourbon barrel was emptied during this year’s MRF Annual Gold Star Family Retreat earlier in May of 2025, and our Recon Gold Star families were present and did the first tasting of the bourbon.

In order to obtain a bottle of this limited bourbon directly from Ko’olau Distillery, you must donate a minimum amount $350 directly to the Foundation at (https://www.reconfoundation.org/donate) by using the drop down menu and clicking on “whiskey gift” and “one time donation”.

Once the donation is completed, please email “[email protected]” with a photo or copy of the transaction. Please include your full name, mailing address and telephone number so we can ensure your limited Bourbon gets to you as soon as possible!

Due to the limited nature of this bourbon, this opportunity will only be available until all bottles are gone.

This is a perfect example of teammates supporting teammates.
