This is not a posting for a position on Camp Pendleton. This is a posting for the VFW website that has a list of open positions that can be located in almost anywhere in the US and its territories. Please read the posting if you are interested in working for the VFW in a career that I find extremely rewarding.

Thank you for your interest!
I am passing information to anyone interested in working with the VFW to go to the following website: www.vfw.org/careers.
I do not decide on everyone who gets hired, as positions and locations of openings vary greatly. Be sure you check the website often for updates and new position openings, as they will usually have closing dates for accepting applications.
I will keep this updated as often as I'm able to, but the website will always be updated.
As of July 16, 2019 at 1133 hrs, or 11:33 a.m. there is currently one posting with a deadline that has passed (July 10, 2019). The posting is for a position in Kansas City, MO.
Please send inquires and resumes to Danielle Heinisch at [email protected].
Sometimes deadlines are extended for one reason or another and you may see that there is a posting with a deadline that has passed. Should this be the case, and you are interested in the position, there is always a point of contact at the bottom of the posting. Contact that person and ask if they would still accept and consider your application. You never know!
Helpful information:
Remember that having an updated resume is almost always required.
Job postings will tell you what is required for each position.
Sometimes it is important that you use verbiage from the postings when submitting your resume and application.
People who take the time to tailor their resumes to the position they're applying for will usually have a better chance at getting a job. If you are interested in getting help with your resume, and you are a Veteran, there are free classes offered to assist you to assemble a resume. Check with your local Veteran Service Organization, the USO, the military installation closest to you, and/or type "Free Resume assistance for Veterans in (your city)" into your internet search engine and see what comes up. .edu, .org, and .gov are usually the best bets for finding qualified assistance. Again, please check with your local Veteran Service Organization, the USO and your local military installation first.
NOTE: Please keep in mind that Cost of Living in different parts of the country can be very different than where you currently live. What may seem like a large salary to you compared with where you currently live may not be a large sum in the location where the posting is. The reverse may also be true. What seems like a small salary to you compared with where you currently live may actually be a large sum in the location where the posting is.
Please be sure you are well-informed of the Cost of Living in the area where the job is posted before deciding to apply for, or accept a position in the offered location.

PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT THIS GREAT NEWS that happened last year. I'm not sure if everyone has actually heard, and/or understands the importance of a Court Case that set Case Precedent last year in a Federal Circuit Decision that "...(P)ain alone may qualify as a disability..." and therefore can be assigned a Rating without a Diagnosis that the VA previously insisted on before processing a Claim for Disability.
The Court Case that set that Precedent:
Saunders v. Wilkie, Apr 3, 2018, 886 F. 3d 1356 (Fed. Cir. 2018)
For a review of the Court's Decision, please go to the following website:

The VFW is a nonprofit Veterans Service Organization (VSO) comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, Guard and Reserve forces. The VFW and its Auxiliary are dedicated to Veterans’ Service, Legislative Advocacy, and Military and community service programs.
Origins:
In 1899, the American Veterans of Foreign Service (Columbus, Ohio) and the National Society of the Army of the Philippines (Denver, Colo.) were organized to secure rights and benefits for Veterans of the Spanish-American War (1898) and the Philippines War (1899-1902). These two organizations merged in 1914, creating the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. The VFW was chartered by Congress in 1936.
Priority Issues:
Budget- Secure full funding for programs and services for veterans, service members and their families by ending sequestration.
Health Care- Ensure veterans have timely access to high quality, comprehensive and veteran-centric health care, and secure sufficient funding for the VA Health Care System.
