The winners of the 2026 17th Annual Recon Challenge being awarded their paddles.

3rd Place: with a time of 9 hours 37 minutes are Sgt Gillis and Sgt Roberts from 3rd Recon Bn. They were running in honor of SSgt Vincent Sabasteanski.

2nd Place: with a time of 9 hours 20 minutes are SSgt White, and Sgt Camaratta from Recon Training Company. They were running in honor of GySgt Daniel Price and SSgt Joseph Paschall.

1st Place: with a time of 8 hours 17 minutes are Capt Guzman, and SgtMaj Fanus from 4th Recon Battalion. They were running in honor of Cpl Johnathon Appleton and LCpl Michael Beck.

Col Sullivan was the Commanding Officer of 1st Force Recon in Vietnam from 1967 - 1968. He retired from the Marine Corps in 1988.
