An Evening of Community and Connection: The 2026 USO Camp Pendleton Carlsbad Out and About
This evening, the spirit of service and community was on full display as the USO Camp Pendleton Out and About in the Village welcomed service members and their families.
Hosted with the support of the Carlsbad Chamber Military Affairs Committee, the event transformed a simple gathering into a celebration of the strong bond between the military and the surrounding community.
From the moment attendees arrived, there was a sense of excitement in the air. At check-in the families received a Scavenger Hunt map to explore many sites around Carlsbad Village.
We couldn’t have pulled off such an amazing event without the support from our volunteers and the local businesses that participated: Status Skate Shop, American Heroes & Brew, Pizza Port, Barrio Glassworks, Gazelle Fashion & Style, Back to Cali, Senior Gruby's, New Village Arts, Strawberry Shack, and Handel's Ice Cream.
The 2026 USO Camp Pendleton Out and About Event was more than a community gathering—it was a testament to the enduring partnership between the military and the City of Carlsbad. Through the combined efforts of the USO Camp Pendleton and the Carlsbad Chamber Military Affairs Committee, the event strengthened connections, created new opportunities, and reminded everyone present that supporting those who serve is a responsibility shared by the entire community.
