Palmetto Project www.PalmettoProject.org Our job is to study these ideas, learn what makes them work, and adapt them to the needs of our communities.

It is our view that somewhere in the world, some community is using an innovative approach to solve the very same problems we face in South Carolina. At the Palmetto Project, we believe that South Carolinians have within themselves the imagination and determination to realize the full potential of our state.

Today, we join everyone around the world in remembering the legendary Dolly Parton. 💜

Dolly shared with all of us her extraordinary music, plenty of sparkle, kindness, and maybe most importantly, the joy of storytime through her Imagination Library.

Because of the Imagination Library, generations of children have experienced the magic of opening their mailbox and finding their very own Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library book to keep forever. She dreamed of inspiring children to love reading, and founded the Imagination Library in 1995 in honor of her father.

Dolly spent her life reminding people to dream more, learn more, care more, and be more. We can think of no finer legacy.

Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the laughter, the generosity, and most of all, for believing in the potential of every child. Your story will be read forever.

We will always love you. 💜📚✨

Our delivery day to Midland Park Primary School with Charleston County Schools - SC was a LOVELY DAY (the 🌧️ could not dampen our spirits!). Thank you to everyone who supported our Families Helping Families of the Lowcountry 2nd Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive this year! YOU helped us ensure we could stock the Pre-K and K5 classrooms and provide all the tools our kiddos need to be ready for their first day.

Day 1️⃣ of drop-off for our FHF of the Lowcountry Back-to-School Drive!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far! We have just a few needs remaining for our Pre-K & K5 kiddos — and helping out is as easy as 1-2-3!

1) Select an item (or a few!) from our lists (slides 3 & 4)
2) Shop!
3) Drop-off at our offices between 9am-3pm on Tuesday or Wednesday (8/4 or 8/5)
