Palmetto Project www.PalmettoProject.org Our job is to study these ideas, learn what makes them work, and adapt them to the needs of our communities.

It is our view that somewhere in the world, some community is using an innovative approach to solve the very same problems we face in South Carolina. At the Palmetto Project, we believe that South Carolinians have within themselves the imagination and determination to realize the full potential of our state.

October 1st means *it’s the most wonderful time of the year* because TODAY is the first day of Families Helping Families of the Midlands! And today it is also , so what better day to share a memory from 2025? Families Helping Families is a success every year because of our community members who donate, adopt families, and volunteer for the data entry, warehouse, and phone bank WIS 10 - check out our opportunities at website for more info (link in bio, too).

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU all for *putting a little love* in our Imagination Library programs, so that WE can put almost 18,000 books in the hands of young children!! Your generosity through “Dolly Day” on 9/25 will help make the *world a better place* for 15K+ kiddos under 5 in our six counties!

On 9/25, the world will celebrate “Dolly Day” and honor her amazing life & legacy. Her family and her foundation have also asked the world to “GIVE LIKE DOLLY” on 9/25 in support of her local Imagination Library partners!

Palmetto Project is proud to serve as the official partner of the Imagination Library in six (6!) SC counties. We deliver 15K+ books every month!

The books are free to families, but YOUR support allows us to keep ‘em coming. The Imagination Library is built on partnership, and local partners like us raise the funds from our generous communities so we can pay for the books & postage for every book, for every child, every month.

So on 9/25, celebrate Dolly and to help YOUR local program continue! 📚💜🦋

Throwin’ it back to one of the earlier chapters in our long history of helping improve access to healthcare for South Carolinians!

The South Carolina Health Insurance & Referral Network (or SCHIRN for short!) helped connect South Carolinians with healthcare resources and assistance.

For decades, we have been committed to making healthcare easier to find, understand, afford, & use. Today, we continue that commitment through Insure SC, our statewide nonprofit health insurance brokerage, which helps our neighbors across the Palmetto State access care through Medicare & ACA
Marketplace coverage. Enrollment season is coming soon and we are here to help!

Our programs have changed. The healthcare system has definitely changed. But our commitment to improving access to healthcare is *evergreen.* 😉🌲
