Here's a great opportunity to volunteer with the Charleston Farms Community Garden this weekend!

🌱 Fall Garden Workday at Charleston Farms! 🌿

​Come get your hands dirty with us this Sunday, October 11, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

​We’ve got plenty of fresh fall projects lined up:

​Replanting beds across the Food Forest & public plots

​Clearing and weeding the fenceline borders

​General garden bed prep for the cool season

​Whether you have green thumbs or just want to spend some time outside with neighbors, all skill levels and ages are welcome!

​📍 Where: 1633 Sumner Ave

⏰ When: Sunday, Oct 11 | 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

🧤 What to bring: Garden gloves, a refillable water bottle, and sturdy shoes (tools provided!).

Registration for our next Gardening 101 session is now open! For October's session we will host Sharleen Johnson of Native Plants to the People, LLC for a session on Landscape Design for Pollinators. East Bay Deli will provide refreshments!

(Reminder - we won't meet in a park for the month of October but will instead be attending a movie together for our "books made into movies" theme.)

Good morning, friends! We recently received a generous donation of a few books from our Book Nook wish list, but unfortunately, these books arrived without any notes to let us know who may have gifted them. So if you were our mystery donor, thank you very much for helping us to expand our community book nook for everyone to enjoy!

Book Club in the Park with Keep North Charleston Beautiful has created a sense of community among residents who have made connections beyond the books.

We want to thank the team from Delancey Street for always going above and beyond to keep our parks clean and beautiful! Triangle Park is a part of our Adopt a Park program, and Delancey Street provides services to this park on behalf of Maven Realty who have adopted this park! This week, on top of their normal landscape duties, they took the time to install mulch around all of the trees at the park to keep them healthy and protected! We appreciate both of these amazing local businesses!
