🎸 TTC rocked the future!

Our employees came together for this year’s Rock the Future Employee Giving Campaign, showing once again what happens when our TTC community rallies behind our students.

Together, we raised $46,000 with 42% of employees participating!

Every gift, no matter the size, represents something bigger: a belief in our students and their ability to build brighter futures.

To everyone who gave, encouraged a colleague, served on our Road Crew or helped spread the word, thank you for rocking the future with us! 🤘💙

⚓ Welding Skills That Build and Protect

Students in Trident Technical College's welding program recently had the opportunity to hear from Navy Captain Hannah Kriewaldt, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair (SUPSHIP) at Newport News Shipbuilding in Virginia.

Captain Kriewaldt visited both day and evening welding classes to share the critical role welders play in shipbuilding and repair, emphasizing that the military depends on skilled, quality workmanship to protect service members and support mission readiness. She also highlighted the growing demand for welders across both public and private industries.

Representatives from Newport News Shipbuilding were also on hand to answer students' questions about career opportunities in the shipbuilding industry right here in Charleston.

Thank you to Captain Kriewaldt and the Newport News Shipbuilding team for inspiring the next generation of skilled trades professionals!

Celebrating eight years of partnership and student success!

The TTC Foundation was honored to attend the Hibernian Society of Charleston Foundation's scholarship event at the historic Hibernian Hall in downtown Charleston.

For the past eight years, the Hibernian Foundation has generously supported Trident Technical College students through scholarships that help remove financial barriers and create opportunities for success. This year, TTC student Pamela Martin, a Hibernian scholarship recipient, joined Foundation staff Elliott DeMerell and Leilani Mikula to celebrate the impact of this enduring partnership. The Foundation also recognized Xavier Martinez, who received a Hibernian scholarship this year but was unable to attend the event.

We are grateful to the Hibernian Foundation for its continued investment in TTC students and for helping make educational dreams a reality.
