We have a slight change in our speaker lineup for Symposium!

Firstly, SCDHA would like to congratulate Amber Lovatos on winning the prestigious Latinx House Health Champion award.

The Latinx House is an activist organization for Latinx issues comprising celebrities, business, tech, and community activists.

The awards ceremony falls on the same day as the SCDHA Annual Dental Hygiene Symposium, so Amber Lovatos will be unable to present her course to us.

Our new speaker is Stephanie Botts, RDH, BSDH, CEAS. We are grateful that she is stepping in to present her popular course: “The Dental Professional’s Role in Supporting Patients with Substance Use Disorder”

As dental hygienists, we ALL know that the unexpected can come up to best-laid plans (localized SRP instead of a prophy anyone?) and we all pride ourselves in being able to pivot and adapt. We thank our attendees for understanding and we know that you will all be sending Amber congratulatory vibes on her big evening!

Calling all dental peeps! SCDHA has arranged an excellent 2 CEU live webinar with Amber Auger, MPH, RDH, on Thursday, May 18th from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM.

She's presenting a two-course, doubleheader that hygienists, dentists, and dental assistants will *all* benefit from - I know we’ve all had patients in our chair who have either takes about suffering from Long COVID or have been diagnosed with diabetes. These courses will help the whole clinical team understand and recognize symptoms and implications on their patients' systemic AND oral health and how it might affect your treatment plans.

Sign up at the link below - this would be a great clinical team webinar to attend - we’ve made a group registration ticket! And we’re reporting it to CE Broker for you!
