Our recent TNR kitties, Cinnamon and Tartar Sauce, reminded us why this work saves lives. TNR isn’t just about stopping litters, it’s about preventing suffering. There are already so many cats outside, so many kittens born into danger, and so many pets needing new homes because not every home is forever. TNR gives community cats a chance to live without the constant cycle of pregnancy, hunger, and stress.
Feral cats can thrive outdoors with shelter, food, and the safety of being spayed or neutered. But I still wonder what their lives could’ve been if someone rescued them earlier, if they’re warm enough, safe enough, comfortable enough.
Tartar Sauce especially touched my heart. I cared for her for two months while she raised her babies. Yesterday was time to release her, she ran back to her territory with so much joy, she was home. I promised her I’d take care of her kittens and find them the best homes.
Cinnamon and Tartar Sauce remind us why we trap, why we neuter, why we return, and why we care so deeply for cats who may never let us touch them but still deserve dignity, safety, and love.
Please:
Spay and neuter your pets
TNR your community cats
Never abandon your animals
Every cat deserves a chance, whether that’s a forever home or a safe life outdoors.
