05/26/2026
This EMS Week, we recognize the EMTs, Paramedics, Dispatchers, Supervisors, Instructors, Support Staff, and Volunteers who continue to serve under constant pressure while often working in conditions that fall well below the standards expected in 2026.
Despite the long hours, staffing shortages, system delays, and the growing demands placed upon you, you continue to show up when others need help most.
You continue to answer the calls.
You continue to care for complete strangers.
You continue to stand the line for your communities.
That commitment does not go unnoticed.
Because of the sacrifices being made every single day across New York and across this country, we are extending the celebration of EMS Week to further acknowledge those who continue to serve even during some of the most difficult times our profession has faced.
To every EMS professional still pushing forward:
We see you.
We respect you.
We thank you.
Your dedication, resilience, and professionalism remain the heartbeat of emergency medicine.
