Paradise Rescue was created to bring awareness to and help reduce the stray domesticated animal population in Puerto Rico by: educating the public on best practices and care for pets; rescuing and relocating stray animals; creating a network of foster homes and sister rescues located in the United States, particularly the midwestern states of the United States, to aid in the relocation of stray animals to homes in the states; creating community outreach to prevent animal neglect or abandonment; and encouraging and leading a volunteer network in Puerto Rico and the United States to reduce the number of stray animals located on the island of Puerto Rico. Meet the Jos Litter girls: Billy Jo, Bobby Jo & Betty Jo! 💕🐾

These three sisters were rescued and are now being fostered by the wonderful David, who is helping them learn just how great life can be.

Betty Jo & Bobby Jo are confident, outgoing little girls who are always ready for a game of chase, some puppy antics, or a good snuggle session. 💗 Billy Jo is still working on building her confidence, but she has the perfect teacher — David! She’s become his little sidekick, and with him by her side, that shyness doesn’t last long. 🥹

All three girls are happy, playful and growing more confident every day. They’ll soon be ready to fly to their forever homes, and we’d love nothing more than to see them find families of their own!

Meet Daisy 🌼

You may remember Daisy and her brother Darby, who were found dumped outside a vet office a few months ago. When we were contacted for help, Veronica stepped up to foster them and give them the safe place they deserved.

Daisy has come such a long way since then, and she is officially READY for her forever home! 🎉

This goofy girl is full of personality. She’s playful, food-motivated, loves other dogs, and even gets along with cats! She’s also potty trained and crate trained, making her that much more ready to settle into her forever family.

Daisy has officially completed her heartworm treatment, and she is now spayed and fully vaccinated. ❤️‍🩹 She’s healthy, happy, and ready to put her rescue days behind her.

Meet Peyton & Eli!

When one of our rescuers and fosters, Jesus, was driving through Toa Baja, he spotted these two brothers in the middle of the road. He immediately FaceTimed Veronica to let her know he wasn’t leaving them there, scooped them both up, and brought them to safety. ❤️

Jesus is now fostering them, and since their rescue, Peyton and Eli have received the necessary vetting and vaccines to get them ready for the next step: finding their forever homes!

These two are such great puppies and are ready to find families of their own. We don’t know who their mom or dad are, but based on their current size, we estimate they’ll grow into medium-to-large dogs once fully grown.

Meet the Mobster Bros, Sammy & Gotti!

These two little guys were found abandoned around Veronica’s neighborhood, terrified and unsure of what was happening. Veronica knew she couldn’t leave them behind, so she stepped in to rescue them. Thankfully, Lisa agreed to foster these boys and give them the safe, loving place they needed. ❤️

Since coming into our care, Sammy & Gotti have been vetted and received the necessary vaccines to get them ready for their next step: finding their forever homes! These two are sweet, playful puppies who are ready to leave their rough start behind and start the life they deserve.

Detroit friends! Please help us spread the word about two sweet girls, Olga & Kate, who are looking for their forever homes! ❤️

These two pups have had quite the journey to get to Detroit. Kate was found back in May as part of the “Lost” puppies litter, and Olga was found by David at the beginning of June. Now they’ve made their way to Detroit, where they’re being fostered by Abril while they search for their forever families.

🐶 OLGA
Olga is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves nothing more than being close to her people. She’s a total cuddle bug who loves giving kisses, curling up on the sofa for a movie, and sleeping with her back pressed right up against her person. 🥰

When it comes to other dogs, Olga can be a little unsure when meeting someone new, but once she feels comfortable, her playful side comes out and she’s ready for a fun playdate! She’s also a girl who loves a little adventure and is always up for getting out and enjoying life. Olga would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving cuddle buddy with a playful, adventurous spirit.

🐶 KATE
Kate is a chonky girl with the confidence of a Pomeranian 😂 She’s playful, spirited, and loves her people and her dog friends. Like any puppy, she can get really excited during playtime, so she may need a family who’s willing to help her learn her manners and continue working on her training as she grows.

But when it’s time to cuddle? Kate is an absolute BABY. ❤️ She loves being held in your arms while she sleeps and will definitely notice if you try to put her down. 😂 She’s also incredibly loyal and protective of the people and pups she loves.

Both of these girls have BIG personalities and so much love to give, and now that they’re in Detroit, they’re ready for the next chapter: finding their forever families! 🏡❤️

Meet Lady 🤍

Mary was out walking Dante when he suddenly started sniffing around like he was onto something. Then, all of a sudden, Dante went and laid down right beside a car. Mary went to investigate and, tucked underneath it, was Lady. She was incredibly skinny and absolutely terrified.

We got this little girl to the vet, where we learned that, for the most part, she was perfectly healthy — she was just really skinny. She needed to gain some weight before she could be vaccinated and spayed, so we got to work. And Lady has been doing amazing ever since! She’s gaining weight, feeling better, and slowly letting her little personality shine. 🥹

Lady is a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, she loves to follow her people around. And when she finally comes around? All she wants is to be held and get belly rubs. 🥰

She’s a petite little girl and will most likely stay small — she just has a little more filling out to do as she continues to gain weight.

Lady’s perfect home will be patient, gentle, and loving, giving her the time she needs to come out of her shell and learn just how wonderful life can be.

Ready to give Lady the forever home she deserves? We can fly her anywhere in the U.S. to her forever family!

🎓 OFF CAMPUS & LOOKING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOMES! 🐾💙

Forget the dorm room—these five brothers are ready to move into the home of their dreams! 🏡🐶 Meet the Off Campus litter: Garrett, Dean, Tucker, Logan & Beau!

These five brothers were heartbreakingly dumped at Punta Santiago Beach, where so many abandoned dogs already struggle to survive. Thankfully, Veronica spotted them while walking her neighbor’s Husky, Dixie, and immediately sprang into action. She grabbed a crate, rallied the foster team, and got these babies to safety. 🙏❤️

Suriely stepped up to foster them, and now all five boys are safe and getting the care they deserve. 🥰

They’ve received their initial vetting and will soon be ready to fly to forever homes anywhere! ✈️

We don’t know who Mom or Dad are, but these little guys have short legs and longer bodies, so we suspect there may be some Dachshund mix in their family tree. They’ll likely stay small to medium-sized when fully grown.

Japi is ready for his happily ever after! 🩵

When we first introduced Japi for National Dog Day, we shared the story of this sweet boy who was found wandering the streets of Trujillo Alto, neglected and covered in thick, matted fur. Despite everything he had been through, all Japi wanted to do was wag his tail, roll over for belly rubs, and share his happiness.

Since then, Japi has been vetted, received a much-needed dental treatment, and has been neutered — and now this happy boy is officially ready to fly to his forever home! ✈️🐶

Japi is a wonderful, friendly dog who is ready to leave his days on the streets behind and start the next chapter of his life with a family of his own.
