LSA Family Health Service 68 years of supporting families in need in East Harlem, NYC. We help families meet their most fundamental needs: food, clothing, healthcare, and a safe home.

LSA Family Health Service, founded by The Little Sisters of the Assumption in 1958, is a neighborhood-based nonprofit which delivers a holistic model of human services. Through home visits, on-site services, support groups, classes, and more, we help the most vulnerable achieve the wellness and strength they need to move forward.

K-5 Enrichment officially ended yesterday afternoon. We now take a break for a couple weeks before kicking off the Summer Enrichment Program on June 29th! We will miss all of our wonderful K-5 volunteers!

Happy graduation month to all, but especially our College Access Seniors! 🎓🎉 congratulations on this big milestone!

It is with such honor and pleasure to watch these students grow and flourish through their own hard work and with the support of LSA Mentors and services.

To the students: we are so excited to see where life takes you next and we will forever be in your corner.

LSA provides guidance and support to high school students throughout the college application process, helping them navigate admissions, financial aid, and other post-secondary planning alongside their personal mentors. This year, we are proud to announce that all 10 of our graduating seniors were accepted to distinguished universities, including New York University, Colgate University, Gettysburg College, Fordham University, and more.

Thank you to the mentors, families of the students, and supporters for believing in our students as much as we do!

Last night, something amazing happened. We filled St. Ignatius Loyola Church and celebrated all the volunteers who make our work possible. We are full of gratitude for those who showed up—and all those who show up throughout the year, giving their time or resources. The dinner was full of heart and connection because of you—your dedication, generosity, and belief in our mission. Hear from just a few of our volunteers what LSA means to them.

🎓✨ Closing out another powerful year of LSA’s Young Minds Matter Program!

On May 29th, we celebrated our incredible 8th graders as they graduate and step into high school, and our 6th & 7th graders as they launch to the next grade.

We are so proud of our scholars on reaching new heights—earning acceptances to top high schools, many with full-ride scholarships. Your hard work, resilience, and brilliance continue to inspire us.

LSA was chosen to launch the first Community Baby Shower by representing Manhattan. We served over 35 families, hosting an educational workshop, fun games, photo station, nutritious food, referrals to programs and maternal giveaways!
