Last Wednesday, we celebrated the end of another amazing Academy season 🥳

After a catered dinner, the celebration moved into an awards ceremony where one player from each of our 3 teams was honored for excelling in some of our values-in-action: Switch On, Go Forward, and Get There 🏆

We also held a graduation ceremony where our 8th Graders were officially welcomed by their new High School teams, and our seniors officially became alumni 🎓

Thanks to everyone for an amazing year! We can't wait to share more updates as we move into summer!

Last weekend, our High School and Middle School Girls had the chance to participate in the annual

For the High Schoolers, the event, which combines 2 full days of rugby action with a college fair, gave the team the chance to perform in front of scouts from a myriad of colleges. The team played one game as a full team before joining with the other teams to play an All-Star match

For the Middle Schoolers, it was a great opportunity to refine their skills and expand their rugby community, especially as it was their first time playing in an all-girls rugby game!

It was an amazing day for everyone involved, and a great way to conclude the season!

Another year, another great NYC Flag Rugby Festival! We had an amazing day of rugby action, celebrating the accomplishments of all the young athletes who competed. 🏅

🏉Across 12 teams, 134 athletes from our after-school enrichment programs congregated on Randall's Island, showcasing their skills in front of friends and family.

🌟12 athletes, one from each team, were recognized for their spirit. From scoring tries to cheering their teammates on relentlessly, these athletes embody what it means to Play Rugby.

🦸34 staff and volunteers made the event happen! From coaching teams to refereeing games to preparing lunches, it would be impossible to put on events like these without their help.

Last week, the Play Rugby community came together to raise over $580,000 in support of our mission!

The energy was incredible, the joy was palpable, and we all felt a part of something bigger than ourselves. Thank you to every single person who helped make it possible. 🌟
