AJT: Established in 1979, as the Association for Jewish Theatre, Alliance for Jewish Theatre (AJT) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of Jewish theatre around the world. The Alliance for Jewish Theatre (AJT) is made up of theatre-artists, theatres, and other people connected to theatre to promote the creation, presentation, and preservation of both traditional and non-traditional theatrical endeavors by, for, and about the Jewish experience.

📣 Exclusive Opportunity from National Jewish Theater Foundation Announced!

The 2027 NJTF Remembrance Readings seed grant program is ONLY available to members of ATHE or AJT!

The National Jewish Theater Foundation-Holocaust Theater International Initiative (NJTF-HTII) Advisory Board committee will grant $250 seed grants, which may be used towards costs associated with acquiring rights, readings and post-program panels and Q&A. All 2027 NJTF RR seed grant recipients receive recognition on the NJTF website.

Alliance Theatre's Bernhardt Theatre for the Very Young Performance of "The Birthday of the World" created by Jonathan Shmidt Chapman will be shared at the AJT Conference in October!

✨ How can you repair the world, finding one spark at a time? Gather around and lean forward as we share a gift with you – a story about how the world was born and how it needs your help to be filled with light again. Based on the beautiful children's book by Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen and drawing from Jewish folklore, this immersive performance brings a timeless and timely story to life through gentle storytelling, visual wonder, and sensory play.

🎭 Alliance Theatre's Bernhardt Theatre for the Very Young is a professional series of performances for an audience of 0-5 year olds and their caregivers. These performances are interactive, multi-sensory, and break down developmental barriers to accessing live theatre. We are excited to share it with our community!
