Join the Palestine Solidarity Working Group on March 11th at 7pm for the first meeting of our Book Club! We'll be reading Perfect Victims by Mohammed el-Kurd. There is no need to read in advance (though you can if you want to!), as we’ll be reading and discussing selections from the book together during the meeting. Please text 929-324-0375 for exact address, a free physical book or PDF, and to let us know any accessibility needs. There will be food. We hope to see you there!

Fighting Destabilization and Rent Overcharge Workshop
Thursday, March 12th at 7pm
Another World (629 Nostrand Ave)

Join members of the Crown Heights Tenant Union as we explore and confront the issue of illegal destabilization and rent overcharge! This workshop will cover the history of illegal destabilization, its causes, and how neighbors can join the fight if they believe their unit may have been illegally destabilized. All tenants are welcome! Attendees are highly encouraged to bring a neighbor and a copy of their rent history to make the most out of the workshop. Rent histories take a few days in the mail, so the earlier you order it the better! Food will be provided.

Testify Against Protest Buffer Zones

The CHTU Palestine Solidarity Working Group invites you to testify against upcoming city council measures to limit our protest rights. Please see the flyer for more details and information on how to get involved. Testimonies can be in-person or virtual (in-person is recommended as virtual testimonies may or may not have enough time to be heard). We also invite you to share this flyer with your neighbors.

We are experiencing an extremely cold winter in nyc this year. You deserve proper heat in your home! If it's below 55 degrees outside, the temperature inside must be at least 68 degrees between 6am and 10pm. Between 10pm and 6am, your inside temperature must be at least 62 degrees. If your landlord has refused to comply, see our resources page for additional resources on getting your heat back (including tracking the temperature, calling 311, and more).
